Why I serve?
My education and professional experience has been centered around libraries. I am excited for the opportunity to help support our library’s vital role within the community and ensure it continues to serve all of its patrons.
Past or present Boards/Commissions/Volunteer work:
I am an active volunteer at my children’s school and First Church of Simsbury, and a Girl Scout leader for my daughter’s Brownie troop!
Employment History:
I have had a variety of roles in different library settings. My most recent position was in the children’s department at the Granby Public Library.
Education:
Bachelor of Arts - University of Connecticut and Master of Library and Information Science - Dominican University
Why I love Simsbury?
There are so many reasons to love living in Simsbury, but I think what truly makes it special is its strong sense of community. From the schools to the library to the vast array of activities, it all comes back to the people who live here and make Simsbury a vibrant and exciting place to call home. I am very eager to support this wonderful community!
Fun Fact:
I have hiked to the top of Ben Nevis, the tallest peak in the UK!
